quelques chercheurs ont \u00e9labor\u00e9 la th\u00e9orie de l&rsquo;<em>apprentissage profond<\/em>.&nbsp; Ils soulignaient l&rsquo;importance pour les \u00e9tudiants d&rsquo;exercer leur pens\u00e9e critique, de cr\u00e9er du lien entre les concepts et de relier les nouvelles notions aux connaissances dont ils disposaient.&nbsp; Un ensemble de d\u00e9marches qui correspond bien \u00e0 ce qui se passe lorsqu&rsquo;on utilise les cartes mentales, conceptuelles ou argumentaires.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><a l&rsquo;approche profonde <em><strong>sont nettement plus actifs<\/strong><\/em> que ceux qui approchent le cours en surface :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ils cr\u00e9ent du lien entre les id\u00e9es<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ils anticipent les conclusions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ils rep\u00e8rent les structures et les principes organisateurs d&rsquo;un cours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ils int\u00e8grent les nouvelles notions aux connaissances d\u00e9j\u00e0 acquises<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ils ne se contentent pas de reproduire des parties du cours en vue de l&rsquo;examen, mais interagissent activement avec les id\u00e9es et les connaissances contenues dans le cours pour b\u00e2tir leur propre syst\u00e8me de connaissance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En un mot, ils <em><strong>\u00e9laborent leur savoir personnel<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-l-apprentissage-profond-un-choix-strategique\"><span style=\"color: #000080\">L&rsquo;apprentissage profond : un choix strat\u00e9gique<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cela veut-il dire que les \u00e9tudiants sont \u00ab\u00a0condamn\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 un style d&rsquo;\u00e9tude ?&nbsp; On est soit \u00ab\u00a0<em>apprentissage profond<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0, soit \u00ab\u00a0<em>apprentissage de surface<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb comme on est blond ou brun de naissance ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Absolument pas !<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-un-choix-strategique-selon-les-circonstances\"><span style=\"color: #000080\">a) Un choix strat\u00e9gique selon les circonstances<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les auteurs insistent sur le fait qu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;un <em>choix de strat\u00e9gie<\/em> et que les m\u00eames \u00e9tudiants utilisent d&rsquo;ailleurs l&rsquo;une ou l&rsquo;autre approche selon l&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat qu&rsquo;ils \u00e9prouvent pour la mati\u00e8re&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Et, sans doute aussi, selon le poids de cette mati\u00e8re dans leur cursus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Autrement dit, vous pouvez choisir d\u00e8s maintenant d&rsquo;\u00eatre un \u00e9tudiant en \u00ab\u00a0<em>apprentissage profond<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-b-des-approches-differentes-de-la-memorisation\"><span style=\"color: #000080\">b) Des approches diff\u00e9rentes de la m\u00e9morisation<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Marton et S\u00e4lj\u00f6 distinguent aussi d&rsquo;autres utilisation de la m\u00e9moire dans les approches profondes et de surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alors que les \u00e9tudiants qui ont choisi l&rsquo;approche de surface consid\u00e8rent la m\u00e9morisation comme une fin en soi, ceux qui ont opt\u00e9 pour l&rsquo;approche profonde utilisent la m\u00e9morisation des \u00e9l\u00e9ments-cl\u00e9s comme moyen de mieux comprendre la mati\u00e8re et de mieux l&rsquo;int\u00e9grer dans leur propre syst\u00e8me de connaissances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ils extraient du sens de ce processus de m\u00e9morisation : ils relient les \u00e9l\u00e9ments m\u00e9moris\u00e9s \u00e0 des choses qu&rsquo;ils connaissent d\u00e9j\u00e0 ou qui peuvent illustrer les structures, les processus, les \u00e9l\u00e9ments d\u00e9terminant d&rsquo;une mati\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les \u00e9tudiants qui choisissent l&rsquo;approche de surface fonctionnent comme des scanners : ils essaient de m\u00e9moriser le plus grand nombre de faits possibles.&nbsp; Tandis que les \u00e9tudiants qui privil\u00e9gient l&rsquo;approche profonde fonctionne comme des ordinateurs en r\u00e9seau : ils agr\u00e8gent des \u00e9l\u00e9ments-cl\u00e9s de la connaissance au r\u00e9seau pr\u00e9-existant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-c-l-approche-reproduction-de-contenu-versus-l-approche-construction-du-savoir\"><span style=\"color: #000080\">c) L&rsquo;approche \u00ab\u00a0<em>reproduction de contenu<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb versus l&rsquo;approche \u00ab\u00a0<em>construction du savoir<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mais la diff\u00e9rence fondamentale entre les deux approches se situe dans l&rsquo;intention des \u00e9tudiants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&rsquo;approche \u00ab\u00a0<em>profonde<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb a pour objectif la \u00ab\u00a0<em>construction du savoir<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb : une <em>\u00e9laboration personnelle du savoir<\/em>.&nbsp; Une approche \u00e0 long terme qui permet d&rsquo;obtenir les meilleures notes.&nbsp; Et qui correpond aussi aux exigences des entreprises o\u00f9 l&rsquo;on demande de plus en plus d&rsquo;initiative personnelle, de pouvoir s&rsquo;autoformer, d&rsquo;int\u00e9grer de nouvelles connaissances et comp\u00e9tences en un temps record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&rsquo;approche \u00ab\u00a0<em>de surface<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb privil\u00e9gie la <em>reproduction du contenu<\/em> d&rsquo;une mati\u00e8re : il n&rsquo;y a pas d&rsquo;interaction \u00e0 proprement parler avec les \u00e9l\u00e9ments de connaissance, mais simple tentative de <em>m\u00e9moriser le maximum de contenu<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les \u00e9tudiants peuvent d&rsquo;ailleurs passer relativement vite de l&rsquo;approche profonde \u00e0 une approche de surface si la mati\u00e8re s&rsquo;av\u00e8re trop difficile ou s&rsquo;ils ont une m\u00e9thode de travail peu adapt\u00e9e aux exigences acad\u00e9miques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il n&rsquo;y a donc pas de fatalit\u00e9 mais choix conscient ou subconscient de strat\u00e9gies en fonction des situations, parfois par les m\u00eames \u00e9tudiants sur les m\u00eames mati\u00e8res.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image \u00ab\u00a0<em>types d&rsquo;\u00e9tudiants<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0, mais un syst\u00e8me complexe de choix strat\u00e9giques<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On ne peut donc pas parler de \u00ab\u00a0deux types d&rsquo;\u00e9tudiants\u00a0\u00bb, mais d&rsquo;un syst\u00e8me complexes de choix strat\u00e9giques en r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 un environnement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mais alors, pourquoi un \u00ab\u00a0<em>plaidoyer pour l&rsquo;apprentissage profond<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb ?&nbsp; Parce que j&rsquo;ai la conviction profonde &#8211; elle aussi &#8211;&nbsp; qu&rsquo;il r\u00e9pond non seulement aux exigences acad\u00e9miques, mais surtout qu&rsquo;il conf\u00e8re aux \u00e9tudiants la panoplie de comp\u00e9tences dont ils auront de plus en plus besoin dans un monde o\u00f9 les professions les plus courues dans 10 ans n&rsquo;existent pas aujourd&rsquo;hui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il y a 5 ans, personne ne parlait de \u00ab\u00a0community managers\u00a0\u00bb : c&rsquo;est aujourd&rsquo;hui une des professions les plus demand\u00e9es.&nbsp; C&rsquo;est aussi l&rsquo;une de celles qui s&rsquo;apprennent majoritairement sur le tas, en \u00ab\u00a0m\u00e9thode exp\u00e9rientielle\u00a0\u00bb : <em>learning by doing<\/em>, apprendre tout en faisant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C&rsquo;est l&rsquo;une des modalit\u00e9s les plus int\u00e9ressantes de l&rsquo;apprentissage profond&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans un prochain article, j&rsquo;examinerai quelles sont les relations entre l&rsquo;approche de l&rsquo;apprentissage profond et les outils visuels, tels que <a title=\"Pens\u00e9e visuelle : du mindmapping aux
