How do you create a video from scratch? If, like me, you're not a videographer, you'll be scratching your head for a while. I tested script and video creation with Flexclip. I'll let you be the judge of the result.
I am currently working on a project to raise awareness of the value of water as a natural resource. To talk about this project, I wanted a demonstration video: an educational video about the water cycle. Something that makes people want to get involved in the project.
I had already tested some of Flexclip's features and I had told you about them presented the results in this article. In this article, I described Flexclip as the “Swiss Army knife of AI-assisted multimedia creation”. I couldn't have put it better myself.
Create a video from scratch like a pro
I had already tested scenario creation in this previous article. I obtained a very decent scenario in English. I repeated the experiment in French. The app asks me to choose between various fields. I choose Knowledge sharing, since the aim is to explain the water cycle in layman's terms. And then, Easy to understand since this is a matter of popularisation.
The result is quite professional. The script holds up well. There is only one mistake: the script spells ‘le grêle’ instead of ‘la grêle’. Even if I correct it in the script, the voiceover will insist on keeping the incorrect spelling.
I then ask the application to generate a video, using computer-generated images rather than images from a photo library. And I request a “cinematic” style, not really knowing what that actually entails.
After about 15 seconds during which an icon spins like crazy, my video appears. It is actually a presentation of static images, with a gradual zoom effect (cinematic, I suppose), a rather pleasant voiceover and subtitles.

Professional results without too much effort
Creating a video from scratch has never been easier. Of course, I cannot stress this enough: do not entrust all of your tasks to artificial intelligence. The best approach is to interact with AI agents to achieve the desired end results.
