Enriching your mind map with AI: child’s play!

In previous articles, I showed you how to:

• generate a complete map with artificial intelligence
• summarise a Web page with Mindmap AI extension

Today, I'm going to show you how:

• start from a manual mind map
• turn it into a digital mind map
• enrich it with AI suggestions
• and add your own images and keywords

A very simple manual mind map

At first, I just threw some ideas on a sheet of paper.

Without image, without color, just a list of words in black.

As you can see, it is very simple.

Also, given the quality of my writing and the distortion of the page on this old straw chair, I really doubted that Mindmap AI could transform this raw stripping content into a decent digital mind map.

I was heavily mistaken!

I wish to enrich this mind map by adding text and images. For the text, I will ask Mindmap AI to extend certain topics with artificial intelligence.

To enrich your mind map with AI, just click on the topic or sub-topic you want to develop. And then, in the menu that opens, select the "AI Extend" feature. After a few seconds, she makes several proposals on the concerned branch.

It’s a good way to use artificial intelligence: as a complement to suggest new ideas. Not to create everything from nothing. But to assist you, to enrich your mind map with AI. It becomes a real creative dialogue between you and the AI agent.

I asked Mindmap AI to suggest ideas for the branches Differed from modernism, etc. You see the result: relevant differences like the lack of ornamentation in modernism, etc.

He also suggests me a list of famous architects from the Art Deco movement. And gives me the characteristics of vases and movie posters. The Roaring Twenties are also those of the film’s explosion. Notably, the famous Metropolis by Fritz Lang, which I manually added to the card. This image comes from Wikimedia and is todayin the public domain. I also added the Wikimedia link in the map, as well as a new keyword (film poster) through the right menu.

To the list of famous architects, I added Victor Horta who, although known for his Art Nouveau period, is also a pioneer of Art Deco with the famous Palace on Fine Arts (Bozar) of Brussels.

Enriching your mind map with AI has never been easier.

As you see, it’s now child’s play to enrich your mind map with AI. I really recommend this method to you: if you have a little time, don’t expect everything from artificial intelligence. Dialogue with it. Always check her answers: like any human creation, she is far from infallible...
